The Mews and Bath Court

22 spacious homes in a convenient location within Wells

The Mews and Bath Court are recently completed residential developments providing 22 homes on Bath Road, close to the Wells City Centre and designed by the RIBA Award Winning David Brain Partnership of Bath who specialise in conservation work. The Mews project involved the sympathetic restoration and renovation of a vacant Listed Victorian cottage hospital into sensitively designed homes, balancing heritage aspects with the demands of modern day living and harmoniously sitting alongside the construction of contemporary new build mews houses. High sustainability credentials were considered throughout the planning and construction process.

The scheme has won several awards including a commendation from the panel of the 2014 William Stansell Award following a recommendation from the Somerset Building Preservation Trust as well as a commendation from the Mendip Council Building Excellence Awards (2013) and the Mendip District Council Building; Planning Excellence Awards (2014) as well as from the LABC.

The Mews development was followed by the erection of four contemporary town houses on an adjacent car park site contributing to this vibrant development on a prominent site within Wells, featuring spacious accommodation with under-floor heating, master bedrooms with en-suites, well-equipped kitchens and relaxed open plan living, landscaped and attractive private and communal gardens and parking.
